Students Solidarity March in Pakistan has became a twitter sensation and has been taken up internet as well as real life as march continues by thousands of students all around Pakistan, but what are their claims and why are they continuing to march in such chilly weather, all the way from Nasir bagh to Charing Cross.
Actually, the student body has been very clear about their demands and has shared their thoughts via twitter as well. They have asked to restore student council so that they will be able to help other students in need. A sneak peak at all this can be viewed in these tweets from various people around the globe supporting Students Solidarity March.
Why are we marching
I march because

-quality education is still a privilege
-women are still discriminated against at campuses
-victims of harassment and violence are still ostracised
-students have no representation in policies concerning them

Top support for the right cause
Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari
end to privatization of public universities, implementation of sexual harassment legislation, right to student housing & the demilitarization of campuses. The spirit of activism and yearning for peaceful democratic process from a new generation of students is truly inspiring. 2/2

Mr. Hamid Mir
We must support #StudentsSolidarityMarch today for free school education and for the restoration of students unions but there must be no violence by student organisations affiliated with political and religious parties who were also involved in misbehaving and beating teachers pic.twitter.com/dYWzqMhLic

Mr. Khurram Nawaz Gandapur
Student solidarity should not be about Red or Green. It should be about problems facing students i.e cost of books & computers, lack of hostel accommodations, lack of jobs, lack of merit, teaching in Urdu and entrance exams in English #StudentSolidarityMarch
